He has a great new job, but Daniel quickly discovers that the dark-haired Italian boy with the jerseys is not capable of blonde surfers. Daniel manages to get rid of some fights, but in the end several members of the same karate school take him to a corner. When Daniel collapses after beating Miiagi, the older gardener jumps over and saves him, hitting half a dozen teenagers. Miyagi and Daniel soon discover the real motivation for the boy’s brutal attitude in the form of a karate teacher. Miyagi promises to teach Daniel karate and in a few months he will be fighting in a tournament all over the valley. When his training starts, Daniel doesn’t understand what he was shown. Miyagia seems to be more interested in painting fences and waxing Daniel’s cars than in teaching karate.
Daniel sends his mentor, Mr. Miyagi, to the Miyagi family in Okinawa. Miyagi visits his dying father and confronts his old rival, while Daniel falls in love and inadvertently creates his rival.
